Lagos is one of the biggest state in Nigeria and definitely the state with the most commercial activities in Nigeria.
Lagos was the former capital of Nigeria and a destination to most tourists in Nigeria. One of the interesting thing about Lagos is that it is a place where people from different part of Nigeria live, this mean that Lagos consists of people from different ethnic groups which makes the activities there diverse. National Theatre

The national theatre is one of the most popular place in Lagos. It was constructed in 1976 by General Yakubu Gowon, the project took too long because of how big it is that it had to be completed by General Olusegun Obasanjo.
The reason you should visit the national theatre in Lagos is because of the beautiful architectural design. The national theatre is home to both old and new arts in Nigeria. You wouldn’t be wowed by only the design but also the pieces of art displayed in the theatre.

Freedom Park, Lagos

The freedom park was known as a place where bad incidents happened but it has now turned to a place where you find beauty and enjoy nature. It was formerly known as Old Broad street prisn, it was used a place of opresion by the colonial masters.
After the renovation, it was termed as a place of triumph over tyranny and the liberation of human.
The park has been renovated to provide a place where recreational activities can be done, it is also a place where you can host events like weddings and hangouts.

Nigeria National Museum

The national museum in Lagos is the main museum in Nigeria. It is a home for Nigeria’s old arts and artifacts. Taking a walk into this museum would you give you knowledge concerning Nigeria’s history and that of Africa as a whole.

I don’t think there is any Nigerian who hasn’t heard of third mainland bridge.
I know your mind would be asking “what’s so special about a bridge?” let me tell you why third mainland bridge is a tourist attraction you should checkout. It is the longest bridge in Africa, I call it the London bridge of Nigeria.
It was built by Julius Berger PLC. by president Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida in 1990 and it measures up to 11.8km in length. It is located in the city of Lagos. The bridge is linked to Lagos-Ibadan express way to Adele interchange, Lagos island.

This is an art gallery that showcase different beauty. It is a gallery that comprises of arts by different artistes. The gallery have diverse type of arts ranging from hyper-realistic, 3D and canvas.

Lekki Conservation Center is a government owned tourism center that is been managed by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation.

Badagry

Alot of people think Badagry is only a settlement but I’m here to change that perception.
Badagry houses the first storey building in Nigeria, it was built by the Christian missionaries in 1842.
Badagry consists of a large amount of agricultural land and also a museum.
The Badagry black heritage museum is a small museum in Badagry that housed the former districts officer’s house, it was built in 1863. The museum has alot of ancient artifacts and arts that would give you insight about the precolonial time. It was the trading spot for Africans who were shipped off by the colonial masters before independence. It was estimated that more than 550,000 Africans were shipped off to America via Badagry.
